Finding stuff to sell on eBay

by Jim Cockrum

Two great ideas:

In my book "The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay" I've listed a ton of very creative places that you can find great eBay inventory to sell for huge profits.

Some ideas that have come up since the last update of my book are worth a mention though!

IDEA ONE: Do you know anyone who buys and fixes up old houses?

Partner with them! Often old light fixtures, art, frames and other misc. items that are otherwise just thrown out can be gathered up and sold on eBay. One man's junk is another man's EBAY INVENTORY! Attic treasures await you!

IDEA TWO: Do you have any "moving" companies in your area?

I've used moving companies a few times in my life. The most recent move gave me an idea. As the crew was loading the truck I asked them how often their customer left stuff behind or offered to let them have items. It happens a lot!

When people move they often "purge" items they don't want any longer. If there isn't time for a yard sale the items end up in the trash.

Figure out a creative way to partner with a moving company to tap into this gold-mine of inventory. One idea I had was to send a letter to everyone who schedules a moving date with the moving company. Offer to pay cash for the items that they won't be moving. Don't over pay and make the owner name a price first if you use this strategy. Call the owner first to find out what types of items they have.
